A few weeks ago I had an amazing getaway with my family who flew all the way from Australia to meet me in LA for a couple of days of fun filled adventures. They had already spent a few days exploring my favourite city before I arrived so it was time to hit the theme parks!
Our first stop was Disneyland! The moment I walked through the gates I felt like a little girl again, it truly is the happiest place on earth. The atmosphere is so magical and you honestly feel like you are living in a movie for the day.
Of course having been to Disneyland before I had to show my family the ropes, we ran around the park collecting fast passes to ensure they got to experience my top picks out of the rides. This unfortunately didn’t stop us from having to wait over an hour for Space Mountain but it was totally worth it to see my Dad’s excitement at the end of the ride. We spent two days exploring Disneyland and California Adventure park.
Boy were we exhausted from our incredible weekend in Anaheim but it didn’t stop us from hitting Universal Studios just one day later. Universal studio’s is a smaller theme park but has my all time favourite thing to do… the backlot tour. Being an Actress I love driving through the studios and seeing all the old sets, it kind of feels like home to me. Often when working on set my family don’t get to see exactly what I do or the process behind making movies and I was so glad to be able to share a part of my world with my family.
We had such an incredible trip together and I wish we could do it all over again. I am such a family girl and now that I live overseas I don’t get to see them as often as I like. Even writing this post now it makes me miss them like crazy. If it’s one thing I want to leave you with today it’s that life is too short, so enjoy all those special moments with your loved ones because memories are what last a lifetime! Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!
