Yesterday I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Dolly 2014 Model Search brunch where they announced the winner of the competition for this year. Held at the beautiful Quay side room at the Museum of Contemporary Art, it was a stunning and very fitting location to celebrate the achievement of 6 beautiful young women. 14 year old beauty Mary Stickley was this year’s winner gracing the stage with such confidence she addressed the crowd and told them how she wants to influence dolly readers in a positive way.
Other key guests included boy band The Collective, Home and Away star Nic Westaway and I was lucky enough to be able to bring my gorgeous friend Chloe Papendrea along who just made the top 6 girls on X factor.
My choice of outfit for this event was quite simple and understated. I decided upon wearing a cute black jumpsuit from Bardot and dressing it up with all my accessories. I discovered this fantastic brand of shoes Miss Kg by London designer Kurt Geiger now being stocked at Myer. I fell in love with the orange, black and leopard print shoe the second I saw it and knew it would compliment my outfit perfectly. I decided on a drop earring from Lovisa and a cute orange clutch from Mimco to tie it all together.
My hair and makeup was done by the one and only Alysha Maree Bishop who did such an incredible job. I chose to have my hair up in a messy pony tail and my makeup was very much about the eyes having a bronze smoky eye. I wanted the outfit to be all about my hair, make up and accessories and Alysha delivered the look to perfection. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Dolly Magazine for the invitation and congratulations to all the finalists. All of the girls were so mature and held their own. They are the bright women of the future and should be very proud!
